MOROTAI – SANDIAGA S. Uno as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy tried the sensation of swimming in the free sea or open water swimming on Dodola Island, Morotai – North Maluku.
“Thank you very much for the beauty of Morotai Regency, I felt the sensation of swimming on the free beach, in the free sea called the open water swimming branch and here we see indeed one natural beauty,” said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno after swimming on Dodola Island, Morotai, Friday (25/11).
Dodola Island is an iconic tourist destination on Morotai Island. This island is one of the uninhabited islands that has its own charm. The beauty of Dodola island will be seen when the sea water is receding.
At that time tourists can see the embossed sand that forms the road from the island of Dodola Besar and the island of Dodola Kecil. When the sun has risen upwards and the sea water has completely receded, the view of white sand will stretch wide in front of your eyes.
Because of that beauty, Menparekraf also tried the sensation of swimming as far as one kilometer from the middle of the sea to the shore of Dodola Island.

“Eastern Indonesia must work together, the waste must be resolved upstream. If we do “reduce- reuse- recycle”. This is what we must ensure to ward off waste from upstream,” said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
